Ackee & Saltfish tells the story of Bianca (34), a career minded and driven woman who seemingly has a perfect life, the perfect flat, the perfect car and the perfect boyfriend. However, this comes to a head one day, when Chris, fed up of eating Chinese Food every day, requests Bianca cook him Jamaica’s national dish for his birthday ‘ackee and saltfish’. Chris’ requests panic Bianca, and she enlists the help of her friends to fulfil her boyfriend’s birthday wish. But Bianca, as usual, does not listen, and the night turns into a disaster, This causes Chris to call for time out from his relationship with Bianca – which of course, Bianca deems a slightly exaggerated response. In response to the breakdown of her relationship Bianca feels there is only one thing for it – she has to learn to cook – Jamaican Food. In her search to learn she visits a local Jamaican takeaway shop ‘Yam Hard’ and is introduced to a whole new world she never knew existed. Here Bianca finds perspective and begins her quest to rediscover her Jamaican roots

"Active" chronicles the life of Simon Brooker, also known as Ghost, starting as a vulnerable young black boy from a good home.
