STORIES WITH SOMETHING TO SAY

Hill House Media develops and produces film and television rooted in compelling characters, distinctive perspectives and stories capable of travelling beyond borders.

STORIES SHOULD STAY WITH YOU.

The films we remember aren't always the ones with the biggest worlds.

They're the ones that make us recognise something.

Question something.

Feel something.

We're particularly drawn to stories exploring identity, culture, belonging, faith, community and the complexity of human connection, including perspectives that haven't always been given the space they deserve on screen.

Our ambition is to create work that can travel beyond the communities it comes from while remaining authentic to them.

Stories that make us think deeper.
Feel more.
And see the world differently.

OUR Productions

broken promises

Broken Promises represents the kind of socially conscious storytelling we're drawn towards. Stories that look beyond the obvious conflict. Stories that explore culture without reducing people to stereotypes. Stories willing to sit inside uncomfortable conversations.

open return

Twenty six year old Ayaan Sharma reluctantly returns to the English village he left as a child, unaware that the answers he’s spent a lifetime searching for have been waiting there all along. Inside his father’s cottage, forgotten letters, photographs and memories reveal a man who never stopped loving his son. with every discovery, the story Ayaan has always believed begins to unravel and weigh on his mind. Ayaan is forced to question not only his past, but the man he has become because of it.

‘Open Return’ explores the lasting psychological impact of family estrangement, the quiet weight of unresolved grief, and how the truth can reshape a life. At its heart, it is a deeply human story about identity, forgiveness and the enduring bond between a father and son.
